Deborah Bade Horn

Deborah Bade Horn, DO, MPH, is the Medical Director at the University of Texas Center for Obesity Medicine and Metabolic Performance and clinical assistant professor in the Department of Surgery at the University of Texas McGovern Medical School in Houston. She is Program Director for the Allison Family Foundation Fellowship in Clinical Obesity Medicine and Metabolism.

Dr. Horn is a diplomate of the American Board of Obesity Medicine and board certified in Family Medicine. She is the Chairman of the Board and a Master Fellow of the Obesity Medicine Association (OMA). She is a founding member of the Obesity Medicine Fellowship Council. She sits on the board for the Obesity Action Coalition and is a participant in the Obesity Care Coalition. Dr. Horn has previously served on both the Clinical and Advocacy Committee for the Obesity Society, and the CME committee for the OMA.

Dr. Horn serves as a co-lead on the Obesity Medicine Education Collaborative, or OMEC, working to bring obesity education to early clinicians. She is clinical faculty and a member of the Clinical Care Committee for the World Obesity Federation.
